About the Role:

We are looking for a motivated, dedicated, self-managed and passionate registered nurse with clinical management and/or compliance background to join our team. Your sound clinical experience and subject matter expertise on clinical compliance in aged care will make you the ideal candidate for this role.

This role will report to the Executive Manager – Clinical Governance. You will develop, implement, drive, and evaluate adherence to the compliance program:

  • Complete, monitor and support internal reviews and clinical risk audits.
  • Assist homes in identifying and rectifying concerns in clinical practice, ensuring practice is compliant with industry and best practice standards.
  • Support homes in implementing action plans to remedy identified risks and gaps.
  • Initiate and assist in clinical investigations, documentation reviews and continuous improvement activities.
  • Promote best practice across the organisation, develop and provide practical and supportive advice and coaching to teams of nursing staff.
  • Participate and contribute to various clinical projects and meetings including medication, infection control and nurses’ meetings.

The Successful Applicant will:

  • Be a Registered Nurse currently registered in Australia (APHRA) without any notation.
  • Have a minimum of 4 years’ experience, working in residential aged care management or compliance space.
  • Have strong knowledge of Aged Care Act, Aged Care Quality and Safety Standards, legislation, and regulations.
  • Serve as a clinical compliance subject matter expert to support managers and nursing staff to adhere to relevant legislative requirements.
  • Manage and oversee clinical compliance requirements and have sound experience in identifying gaps and providing suggested corrective actions.
  • Have demonstrated experience in incident investigation, data analysis, risk identification and corrective actions.
  • Have great attention to detail, ability to establish priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Be analytical, have problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Be a strong leader, great communicator and have the skills to build lasting stakeholder relationships.
  • Hold a current driver’s license and current police check and NDIS screening check.
  • Be flexible and able to travel to different Lifeview residences.
