Meet Lifeview’s Executive Management Team

 

Peter Reilly
Director

Peter has been in senior business management for over 30 years and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Institute of Chartered Accountants. He spent 7 years as the director of various aged care residences and previously worked for PriceWaterhouse, AUSDOC Group and CPI Group. Peter enjoys the friendly environment at Lifeview and thrives on tough challenges. He is a lifelong supporter of the arts, particularly opera and ballet, serves as Treasurer of ABLE Australia, and is a board member of the Dame Nellie Melba Opera Trust. During his downtime, Peter keeps fit at the gym, enjoys live performances and dining out.

Madeline Gall
Chief Executive Officer

A cultural change expert Madeline is passionate not only about ensuring Lifeview’s residents receive the highest quality of life but also about leading and changing the industry for the betterment of all. A visionary thinker Madeline encourages her team to challenge the traditional model of aged care and introduce more innovative care and lifestyle practices.  The winner of the 2016 SACS Consulting Leadership of the Year Award and a finalist in Ageing Asia's Changemaker of the Year Award, Madeline’s modern leadership style see’s Lifeview at the forefront of innovative partnerships with organisations such as Alzheimer’s Australia Vic.  Away from the office Madeline loves to travel, enjoys fine food and wine, and relaxing with family and friends.

James van Beek
Chief Financial Officer

James brings 15 years experience in senior financial and operational management to Lifeview.  A Certified Practising Accountant, James has a Bachelor of Business Accounting and is a member of Certified Practising Accountants Australia. James’ record of success in delivering sustainable profit growth and operational efficiencies in high level professional sporting organisations, including two AFL clubs, along with the racing, wagering and international merchandising industries, assists in driving Lifeview’s commercial success.  An avid sports fan, James has travelled the world attending marquee events such as the Super Bowl and Formula One races.

Karen Wilson-Holmes
Chief Operations Officer

Karen has 30 years-plus experience in non-clinical services in aged care, retirement villages, hospitals and community services. Having held senior management positions at The Alfred and Holy Spirit Northside Private Hospital (via Spotless Services), and the positions of National Procurement Manager, and Victorian Director of Non-Clinical Services with the Healthe Care Hospital Group, Karen is well equipped to oversee the day to day operations of all Lifeview homes. Karen is also a qualified Chef, a member of the Institute of Hospitality in Healthcare and an Eden Associate. Karen has a passion for travel and exploring unique foodie experiences, collecting antique handbags and taking her beloved pooch Sophie for a walk.

Dmitry Shibanov
Executive Manager Resident Wellness

Dmitry is a nursing professional who migrated to Australia with his family in 2004. Born and bred in Russia, he was a senior nursing officer for 17 years before joining the Department of Health and Ageing in Australia. With experience in acute care roles for the Royal District Nursing Service and Cabrini Health, Dmitry has since truly found his mark as Executive Manager Resident Wellness, which sees him combine his nursing background with his passion for working with people and business. Dmitry believes success comes from focusing on improving clinical care for residents first and foremost. He trains his team on the advanced care benefits for residents and shares problem solving skills to generate the best clinical outcomes. A self-confessed travel buff, Dmitry’s most memorable family holiday was to Brazil and he takes pride in building soccer teams for refugees, and disadvantaged youth, with his two sons in partnership with the City of Greater Dandenong.

Swati Chakravarty
Executive Manager People & Culture

With over 26 years in Human Resources Management, in both Australia and India, Swati’s experience covers transport logistics, banking and finance, rail transport, legal, manufacturing, FMCG and the aged care sectors for companies such as ANZ Bank, Pacific Brands, Metro Trains Melbourne and BlueCross.  A Human Resources generalist Swati specialises in organisational change and development along with employee and industrial relations.  Swati’s expertise in the recruitment of skilled personnel, building and growing teams, and organisational change management, along with staff engagement, and health and well-being programs, supports Lifeview’s workforce as it grows and adapts to the changing aged care landscape. Married with two children, Swati would love a quiet moment to read a book or to indulge her passion for travel.

Samantha Jewell
Executive Manager Sales and Marketing

An all round marketer with 25-plus years experience in marketing and communications, media relations, and event management, the last ten in aged care and aged services, Samantha has a passion for working with the aged, and telling their stories. Previous senior marketing roles with Regis Aged Care and Australian Hearing ensure Samantha understands the landscape in which we operate. Samantha and her team strive to go that little bit further and understand as much as possible about each and every resident so they can assist them to find their new home. Outside of Lifeview Samantha enjoys the gym, cooking and touring small wineries with her husband.

James Muzzell
Executive Manager Property

With over a decades experience as a carpenter, James brings a passion for making a positive change to the lives of Lifeview’s residents, ensuring their home environment is safe, functional and to their liking. Following his apprenticeship James worked for MPR Building and sub-contracted to various building companies gaining valuable experience in boutique, medium density and large developments. James manages a team of property maintenance specialists including builders, painters and landscape gardeners who keep our homes in tip-top condition. He is a people person who enjoys travelling, socialising with friends and playing golf.

Gill Hynes
Placement Consultant / Resident Advocate

Gill has worked in aged care for more than 40 years and is passionate about achieving the best outcomes for all residents. In her role as Placement Consultant, she is committed to finding the most suitable home for those seeking a lifestyle at Lifeview. Gill joined Lifeview more than 15 years ago as a nurse and has since lent her hand as Clinical Care Coordinator and Assistant Residential Manager across Lifeview homes. What sets Gill apart in the industry is her warmth and natural ability to make people feel at ease. Her endearing personality, caring and genuine nature brings a sense of comfort to new residents, as she welcomes them to their new home. On Sunday afternoons, Gill enjoys exploring the sites of Melbourne with her family and reading a long novel with her Maincoon cat Alice on her lap.
