Victorian aged care provider Lifeview Residential Care (Lifeview) is today celebrating being awarded the Asia Pacific Eldercare Innovation Award for Best Active Ageing Special Project.
The award handed down last night at Marina Bay Sands Convention Centre, Singapore, recognises Lifeview’s innovation, creativity and excellence in lifestyle services, in particular it’s annual Positive Ageing Celebration.
“We are over the moon and honoured to have been recognised by the Asia Pacific Eldercare Innovation Award judging panel for the work we are doing in the aged care lifestyle space, Lifeview CEO Madeline Gall said.
“This is a remarkable achievement that all Lifeview staff, residents and volunteers are proud of.
“Our Positive Ageing Celebration is eagerly awaited each year and many months go into planning by residents and staff alike. The event is a celebration of all residents’ abilities, skills and talents, and is a day filled with much fun, love and laughter”, Ms. Gall added.
“Each year the Positive Ageing Celebration takes on a new theme. Past theme’s have included Cirque de la Vie – a day under the big top, PAC Masters, based around the Commonwealth Games, A Fair to Remember, comprising a variety of traditional fair games and competitions, and Lifeview's Got Talent, a show stopper with residents shining on stage,” Ms. Gall elaborated.
Lifeview was recognised for excellence in its provision of best practice lifestyle programming, encouraging physical activity, fun and social interaction, all whilst enhancing the health outcomes and wellbeing of residents.
The award was presented at the 7th Ageing Asia Investment Forum conference awards dinner in Singapore where global ageing innovation experts from the USA, UK, Australia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Hong Kong and more gathered to exchange insights on integrated care and ageing friendly communities.
