Lifeview’s Home2Home (H2H), small house model of care, has been awarded the LASA 2017 Service Innovation Award.

The award recognises innovative programs that have delivered improved quality of care and service delivery to clients in a residential care facility, and that act as an example of innovation for the residential care sector.

H2H has lead to a more relaxed and homely environment for residents, staff and visitors.

The model respects residents’ flexible routines and personal preferences, such as rising, showering and breakfast time.  It provides a smaller familial environment for meals, where food is cooked and served fresh, and those around the table build friendships and trust. H2H encourages, supports, and enables residents to continue to pursue their interests and passions.

This is fantastic recognition for all the hard work put in by everyone to get this model piloted and working well in the first instance at Lifeview Argyle Court.

This award also recognises the changing face of aged care and the needs and wants of residents – Lifeview’s Home2Home is leading the way with this model of care.
