Victorian aged care provider Lifeview Residential Care (Lifeview) today held its annual 95+ Celebration.

The celebration brings together Lifeview’s residents aged 95 and over for a celebration of their lives, individually and as a group.

This year 20 residents, with a combined aged of nearly 2,000 years, from Lifeview’s five homes, along with their families, attended the high tea celebration in East Malvern.

Despite Melbourne’s cold snap of weather nothing could put a damper on the celebration for this hardy bunch of ninety something’s, some had even travelled from Emerald for the afternoon.

“It is important we celebrate this special achievement with our residents and their loved ones,” said Lifeview CEO Madeline Gall.

“We view this as a real privilege.

“We can learn so much from our elders and this group has seen so much in their lifetimes,” said Ms. Gall.

Following high tea the group heard from one hundred year old Lifeview The Willows resident Mona Bailey on her tips for a long life. Mona advised attendees to drink plenty of water and to stay positive.

The 95+ Celebration is one of many special occasions celebrated on Lifeview’s Events Calendar each year.
